Babolat Aero Pro Drive Review

Hey everyone,

Here is my first tennis product review!

I will be doing on the racquet of choice of Rafael Nadal, the AeroPro Drive GT!

Here is the basis of my reviews

Power
Control
Spin
Arm Friendliness
Serving
Volleys
Overall
I will give each category a number based on 1-10
The overall category will be the average of all of the other categories combined

Here are the specs for the AeroPro Drive GT:
String Pattern: 16 x 19
Weight: 11.3 oz
Head Size: 100 square inches
Balance: 4 pts HL
Stiffness: 70
Length: 27 in

Power: 8.5
This racquet provides a very good amount of power, but I wish that it would be a bit more forgiving when you have mishits.

Control: 8.5
This racquet has a very high amount of control, but sometimes when you are going to pull your opponent wide it doesn't give you the angle unless you have enough spin.

Spin: 9.5
This is where this racquet excels. It has so much spin potential and when you do Rafael Nadal's signature buggy whip forehand you can create some outright winners with the speed, spin, and angle produced by the racquet.

Arm Friendliness: 6.5
This is where the racquet falls short. I have gotten tennis elbow from this racquet and it has forced me to sometimes sit out. But I did do some elbow strengthening exercises and the pain went away. It is also important to note that I was playing about 5-7 hours of tennis a day for about 2 months straight. But if you are a player who plays seriously year round and get elbow problems you may want to do some elbow strengthening exercises before you get your hands on this racquet.

Serving: 8.5
Serving with this racquet is great. It will give good power on your flat serve, high kick on your second serve, and knife like slice on your slice serve.

Volleys: 9.0
Volleys are great. You get easy access to power and control to finish off the point

Overall: 8.5
Overall, this is a great racquet with tremendous spin but a little stiff.
